‘FAQ’

Is it a proper repair?

Yes.  You can liken the quality of the repair to having you car’s bodywork repaired at a body shop.  We remove the wheel from your car and the damaged paintwork is removed and repairs are carried out to the metal if necessary (without removing the tyre).  The repair area is fully primed then the full face of the wheel is painted, lacquered and fully cured before the tyres are inflated and the wheels are fitted back to the vehicle.  We apply one primer coat, 2 colour coats followed by a minimum of 2 clear coats of lacquer.  The end result is a high quality finish leaving your Alloy Wheels with the appearance of a new wheel.

Can you match the paint colour?

Yes.  We can match all colours of painted alloys.  Our technician is also able to offer a range of custom colours and finishes if you require a unique look to your Alloy Wheels.  We do not hold stock of all the colours which may need to be pre-ordered.

Are the repairs guaranteed?

We give a 12 month guarantee.

Why use Alloy Solutions?

We offer a TOTAL all over, specialist refurbishment to your Alloy Wheels on a same day service using the latest state of the art technology.  We DO NOT offer a temporary, cosmetic, touch up job our finishes give an all over coating and is tough and long lasting which will last for years to come.

How long will it take to do an alloy wheel repair?

It can take between 1 to 2 hours per wheel and approximately 6-8 hours for a full set.

Can you repair bubbling/peeling paint on my alloy wheels?

This is alloy rust or oxidization and takes longer to treat therefore we will need your wheels for approximately 2 days.

Can you refurbish chromed wheels?

Yes, but only in a painted finish, we cannot re-plate them in chrome. Also because it is very difficult to remove the chrome plating from the wheels we cannot promise the same level of finish.

Can you repair Polished (Diamond cut) alloys?

Polished (Diamond cut) alloys have very fine lines similar to that of a CD or DVD.  It is not possible to restore these finishes to their original condition with the same-day refinishing.  Our technician is able to repair damage to the wheels and give them an excellent painted finish that will allow you to still benefit from a same day service with very little difference in appearance.

Do I need to have the key to the locking wheel nuts?

Yes, you must have this key.  If you have lost it you will need to contact your car dealer and ask them for a new key.  They may need the car’s chasis number.

Can you repair my cracked or bent alloys?

No we do not repair wheels that are out of shape or split as safety may be compromised.

Do you sell alloy wheels?

No, our business is making your wheels look great again!
